Cleaning For Heroes

I just read a post about maid services that provide free service for veterns.

Earlier this year, Anne Aldridge, owner of Ocean State House Cleaning in Warwick, Rhode Island
went searching for a non-profit organization that was able to link up cleaning services like hers with disabled veterans …

See the rest of the story here

Tell me what you think, or their other supporters in the Austin area interested in doing something similar??

  1. I wanted to thank you for your interest in our program, Cleaning for Heroes! We are the only non-profit that connects cleaning services like yours to disabled and elderly veterans in need. We are a nationwide program and even have providers in Canada. We would LOVE if your company (or any others in the Austin area) would join us in our mission to provide clean, healthy, healing environments as a way to say “Thank you” for their service and sacrifice.

It costs NOTHING to join, and our providers will only be asked to pledge and donate a comfortable level of free residential services to veterans in their community each month. We do the rest of the work so you don’t have to! Goodwill is a powerful tool and can result in many more paying clients who may choose your company over a competitor that does not participate in our program. Your direct business costs of your donated cleanings can be reported as a deduction on your taxes* and this will allow you to build your business by donating your services to those in need. Our sponsors have been carefully selected to provide free or discounted products to your company, which will help defray the cost of your investment to your community. Our first mission is to help veterans, but we also want you to be recognized for your generosity too! Becoming a part of our network of providers not only feels good, but it makes good business sense.
    (*consult your tax professional)

All companies who wish to join are given three options to “pledge” a comfortable amount of donated services per year. Again, there are no membership fees!

All pledge levels will receive the following benefits:

    · Customized Cleaning for Heroes logo to use on your website and marketing materials,

    · Free or discounted products from our sponsors,

    · TWO free customized press releases with complimentary distribution to your local media per year,

    · Free fundraising tools,

    · Free marketing and business advice through our periodic newsletters,

    · A listing on our directory of providers that will link to your website for added exposure, driving more traffic to your business. (New and improved website coming soon!)
    · If the demand for your services exceed your donated amount, funding MAY be provided on a case-by-case basis, and based upon availability.

Thank you again for your interest and for mentioning us on your site. We would be honored if you would come join us!

  3. Wow! What a great and helpful organization. I think these organizations are a wonderful and “outside the box” kind of way to help pay back our veterans for their time and service to our country. Great, short read… thanks!
